Project Overview
raSmith has worked with Kwik Trip to provide comprehensive civil engineering and site design services for a variety of store formats in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois, including new developments and redevelopments. Some of these projects involved replacing existing stores, requiring carefully staged site layouts to ensure the current stores remained operational for as long as possible during construction.
We have provided services for three types of Kwik Trip projects: neighborhood corner stores, medium-sized stores that offer diesel fueling, and large travel centers with full-service fueling and semi-truck parking. Many sites also feature car washes, which may be attached or detached, and one- or two-lane configurations.
Our team has provided a full range of civil engineering, traffic analysis, and surveying services to support Kwik Trip’s expansion and redevelopment efforts. These services include site planning, truck access planning, traffic impact studies, stormwater studies, grading, utility design, landscape architecture, and initial ALTA surveys for pre-design, and construction staking.
One of the largest Kwik Trip projects raSmith has worked on was in Somers, Wisconsin. This site included a large truck stop with extensive fueling infrastructure. The project included the design of two new public roads and the installation of a new traffic signal to support site access. Our team provided site design services for grading, utilities, circulation, and public roadway improvements to ensure seamless integration with the surrounding area. raSmith continues to support Kwik Trip’s growth by providing exceptional engineering solutions.
