We have an opportunity for an individual with a strong bridge design background. We are open to someone looking for a part-time or full-time position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical responsibilities include:
- Perform and lead the structural design of various bridge projects. This includes the development of design documents, calculations, and specifications conforming to current Wisconsin DOT standards.
- Work in collaboration with the firm’s municipal and transportation divisions to develop relationships with targeted clients and pursue transportation infrastructure projects for state and local clients in Wisconsin.
The candidate hired may be eligible for a significant signing bonus.
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering is required. Masters of Science degree in civil engineering is preferred.
- Ten (10) plus years of bridge design experience including structural design of local, highway, and interchange bridges and ancillary structures.
- Wisconsin professional engineer licensure is required.
- Strong knowledge of WisDOT Facilities Development Manual and BOS Bridge Manual including standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Exposure to WisDOT BOS staff and WisDOT project development project managers is a plus.
- Proficient in AASHTO LRFD design of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other ancillary transportation structures.
- Experience with bridge analysis and design software including MDX and LEAP Bridge Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation.
- Experience as WisDOT Certified Bridge Inspector is a plus.
- Structural design experience of buildings and related structures is a plus.
We currently have an opening for a structural engineer in our Madison, WI location. This position, either individually or as part of a team, is responsible for the overall design and coordination of structural building-related projects from inception through completion of construction. A motivated individual in this position will be able to pursue numerous career paths within the realm of structural engineering consulting.
Structural Engineer – Buildings - Hybrid, Remote Possible - Responsibilities:
- Organize and execute structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects
- Design and layout structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules, and details
- Design structural systems of cast-in-place and precast concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use, and institutional buildings
- Prepare structural calculations for submittal to regulating authority
- Perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals
- Perform construction site observation visits and prepare reports of site visits completed

- Bachelor of Science degree in structural or civil engineering and three to five years of experience in the structural design of building projects. A Master of Science degree in structural or civil engineering is a plus
- Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including RISA 3D and RAM Structural System
- Working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
- Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices associated with design/bid/build, design/build, and construction manager roles and responsibilities

- At least seven years of progressive experience in construction and design-based engineering or construction inspection.

We currently have an opening for a project manager in our survey division in our Wisconsin market. This position will plan, direct, and supervise various projects to include cost estimating, planning, proper work execution, quality management, and other related activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assessing project requirements and developing a sound approach to meet the needs of the project and the client, and stamp and sign surveys as Surveyor in Responsible Charge for property surveys.
- Prepare and review proposals, budgets, and invoices as well as acting as a mentor to other survey team members and providing training as needed. WisDOT survey and right-of-way plat experience is preferred.
- This person is also involved with maintaining client relationships and supervising compliance with specifications.

- A Wisconsin P.L.S. is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a project manager.
- Five (5) years of field survey experience.

Primary Responsibilities
- Performing planning and engineering studies.

Primary Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and managing a portfolio of clients.
- Managing transportation projects, including negotiating contracts with clients/subconsultants, setting and maintaining project budgets, managing project teams, and overseeing projects.
- Business development tasks such as attendance at client and peer events, participation in professional organizations, writing proposals, winning business, strengthening existing client relationships, and developing new client relationships.
- Building and retaining a team of transportation professionals to support their growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will have numerous project management and client development responsibilities to help grow our building structural design practice in the Madison area and beyond.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts for structural projects, including identifying new opportunities and writing proposals.
