raSmith offers creative solutions to state agencies and local government in Wisconsin as they work to both maintain and improve their transportation system, structures, water and wastewater systems, parks and open spaces, and public safety facilities.
Our History
Richard A. Smith, M.S., P.E., F.ASCE, founded raSmith in 1978 with three founding principles: stability, quality and innovation. Rick’s son Ricky followed in his father’s footsteps and began his career at raSmith as a civil engineer in 2002. Ricky was named president of raSmith in 2018.
Rick started the company with just 10 employees who provided civil engineering and land surveying services primarily to local governments in southeastern Wisconsin. raSmith has grown to over 220 employees in the last several decades and today provides a wide range of consulting services to both the private and public sectors. Our licensed engineers have completed projects across the United States, acquiring a portfolio of clients from diverse markets.
