Project Overview
This project involved the design and construction of a 39,800-square-foot mixed-use building that includes Momentum Daycare, an early childhood education facility with an outdoor play area, and The Valerie, an event space featuring an outdoor patio. The long, narrow site is adjacent to an existing stormwater pond and required careful planning to preserve mature tree lines, avoid encroachment on the pond, and maintain existing site grades.
Parking areas were designed to serve both the daycare and the event space, with additional back-of-house parking for maintenance and staff. Stormwater management was a critical component, ensuring compliance with the Pabst Farms Joint Stormwater District facilities while adhering to recent watershed amendments supporting future development. Value engineering measures were implemented to ensure cost efficiency, while landscape planning focused on preserving mature trees and enhancing site aesthetics.
