Local Government Structural Inspection and Evaluation

Wisconsin

Project Overview

Local units of government are required to inspect their bridges every 24 months or sooner depending on whether the structure is showing signs of advanced deterioration. Recently, raSmith has provided bridge inspection and evaluation services to the villages of Caledonia, Sussex, Greendale and West Milwaukee in the state of Wisconsin. Our staff provides inspection and evaluation services for a variety of bridge types including box culvert, concrete slab, prestressed concrete and steel girder bridges.

raSmith has two National Highway Institute (NHI) certified structural inspectors on staff who are highly qualified and experienced in the inspection of in-service bridges and other structures. Our clients have come to know and appreciate the value we provide not only as NHI certified inspectors but also as experienced bridge designers.

Our staff is always ready to complete this type of work in a timely manner without any unnecessary delays. Our deliverable is a well-defined inspection report that meets the requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Our local government clients benefit from the timely completion of our work and the assurance that they are maintaining their structures for the safety of the general public.
