Project Overview
raSmith served as the structural engineer for Lake Terrace Apartments located in Kenosha, WI. This five-story complex with underground parking features four stories of wood framing over a two-way post-tensioned concrete slab. Stunning views of Lake Michigan, spacious residences with natural light, and several additional amenities create an inviting and comfortable living environment. Plus, over 11 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and 14 miles of nearby biking and walking paths provide residents with a range of options for recreation and daily activities.
Due to its proximity to Lake Michigan in a higher wind zone area, the building’s lateral system was specifically designed to withstand elevated wind loads.
