A town center and central gathering space are uniquely located within an otherwise traditional business park setting at the 39-acre Southpointe II Business Park. This pedestrian-friendly destination features a variety of mixed uses along Main Street, including small offices, retail, multi-family residential, restaurants, a hotel and a public plaza. Horizon Properties worked with raSmith on this multi-phase project since its inception in 2006.
The overall vision for Main Street was incorporated into the surrounding business park development. Stores were built closer to the street with parking located behind the stores. Buildings are interconnected with walkways and pedestrian corridors. The site and buildings are integrated in such a way that primary emphasis is placed on the buildings rather than the site. Main Street has been a resounding success with storefronts and restaurants immediately occupied upon project completion. The Main Street shops and offices at Southpointe Town Center were awarded a top mixed-use honor from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
