Project Overview
The City of West Allis selected raSmith to provide construction inspection of private property improvements for 90 residences located throughout the City. The improvements included private lead service line replacement, sump pump installation, storm lateral installation, and sanitary sewer lateral rehabilitation using pipe bursting and cured-in-place lining.
One of the biggest challenges involved the ongoing coordination between the City, contractor and homeowners. The raSmith team kept residents informed and engaged during construction on their property, which was critical in facilitating a successful project. raSmith’s scope of work also included a heightened involvement with coordinating the building inspections, engineering design services during construction to resolve challenges as they arose, QA/QC oversight, and daily inspection reports.
