Project Overview
raSmith provided site design and civil engineering services to support an expansion project at the Packey Webb Ford dealership in the Village of Downers Grove, Illinois. This project involved the addition of a state-of-the-art truck service area and car wash building for enhanced service capabilities.
The raSmith team collaborated with the Village staff and owner early in the process to ensure compliance with municipal regulations and meet the area’s elevated design standards. One of the biggest challenges entailed minimizing the net impervious area to eliminate the underground detention requirements for a cost-effective approach. Additionally, a new sanitary sewer was designed to optimize the car wash’s long-term performance and efficiency. raSmith also provided schematic design input, stormwater permitting, and civil and landscape construction documents to help bring this project to life.
