Project Overview
The Landmark Credit Union in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, represents a cutting-edge addition to the banking landscape. This new 4,300-square-foot facility was thoughtfully designed to enhance the customer banking experience through a blend of self-service and guided transaction areas. Paying homage to Landmark’s industrial heritage, the branch incorporates a distinctive vaulted barrel roof with curved exposed steel beams, cream city brick walls, and modern banking technology.
A key project challenge was the design and detailing of the curved barrel roof and clerestory structure, which required innovative structural solutions and careful coordination to achieve the architectural vision. The design also incorporated specialized thermal break detailing to enhance energy efficiency and minimize steel penetrations through the building envelope. raSmith provided survey, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and structural engineering services for the project.
