Project Overview
Lakewood Assisted Living & Memory Care is a state-of-the-art, 66-bed facility in Brookfield, Wisconsin. raSmith provided civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services for this new development, collaborating with the out-of-state, national developer/owner to successfully get the project approved and permitted on time and within budget. The site design team at raSmith worked through entitlement challenges to relocate public utilities, easements, and a semi-public road through the project area.
Other accomplishments included integrating an existing stormwater pond into the design, resolving artificial wetland complications, and coordinating various environmental issues. The site design process included special attention given to the outdoor spaces, courtyards, entrances, and gardens for the residents and the families of this assisted living and memory care facility.
