Brad Hartjes, senior project engineer at raSmith’s Appleton, Wis. office, has become a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) through the program established by the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM). This national certification reflects the highest standards in floodplain management, recognizing professional credibility and advanced knowledge in this specialized field.

“With this certification, Brad has demonstrated his skill, ability and dedication as a floodplain manager and engineer,” said Chris Stamborski, assistant director of municipal services at raSmith. “Brad’s accomplishment is not only another confirmation of the expertise he brings to his projects, but also enables us to serve our clients with enhanced capabilities and continued excellence.”

Hartjes has comprehensive experience in water resource, municipal and site development projects. He has focused extensively on water resource aspects, such as flood control and flood improvement, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, watershed studies, stormwater management reviews and permitting, and stormwater detention and compensatory storage determination. Additionally, Hartjes is a professional engineer registered in Wisconsin and Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
