raSmith’s municipal engineers have been working closely with Kenosha County on the development and siting of facilities as part of an overall master planning effort at the County’s Sustainable Living Educational Park.
With a new boat launch planned, raSmith’s survey division was called upon to use the latest sonar technology to precisely map the lake bottom elevations at the park. This technology was useful in understanding lake bottom characteristics and subsequently siting the park’s boat landing location on the lake. The data was used by raSmith’s municipal engineers to design the new boat launch.
raSmith’s remote control survey boat (hydrone) with a single-beam echo sounder enables staff to complete hydrographic surveys in ponds, lakes, rivers and streams.
