Project Overview
raSmith provided construction inspection and GPS services to support this $4.4 million roadway extension project in the Village of Pleasant Prairie. As part of a larger infrastructure development, this project included the installation of two large concrete box culverts (12’x3′ and 16’x5′) for stormwater management. The latter culvert was implemented for a wetlands waterway crossing to protect the existing habitat and ensure long-term structural integrity.
Other key improvements consisted of: east I-94 frontage road upgrades, 3,200 linear feet of storm sewer, 3,250 linear feet of 12-inch water main, 1,850 linear feet of six-inch sanitary force main, proofrolls, EBS, base aggregate placement, underdrain, concrete curb & gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete pavement, HMA paving, traffic control, and erosion control.
