Laura Schroeder, traffic engineer at raSmith, has obtained certification as a professional traffic operations engineer (PTOE) from the Transportation Professional Certification Board, Inc. This national certification represents the highest level of professional recognition available in the discipline of traffic engineering, demonstrating advanced knowledge, skill and ability in this specialized field.

“We’re proud of Laura for achieving PTOE certification,” said Pat Hawley, assistant director of transportation services at raSmith. “It reflects her dedication to pursuing professional development and maintaining the highest engineering standards, which supports our team’s drive to provide expectation-exceeding results.”

Schroeder has seven years of experience in traffic engineering. She has been involved with several major Wisconsin Department of Transportation projects and is proficient with traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS and IHSDM. Additionally, Schroeder is a certified road safety professional (RSP) and Wisconsin professional engineer (P.E.) with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University.
