Our hydrone in actionJon Chapman, LiDAR and UAS project manager of raSmith, will present at the APWA–Wisconsin Chapter’s Spring Conference on Thursday, May 11. Chapman’s presentation, “LiDAR, Sonar and PhoDAR—Why You Should Care,” will take a look at today’s must-use surveying technology. Get informed about these new technologies and how they could benefit you on your next project!

Many of today’s surveyors have expanded their skill sets far beyond robotic total stations. They now tote around big “tool belts” filled with new technology, including static 3D laser scanners, remote control survey boats (hydrones) that are equipped with sonar technology to collect underwater data, and even drones (UAVs) that carry cameras, thermal sensors and scanners of their own.

Plus, visit raSmith’s exhibit booth to see and learn more about the hydrone used with our water-related survey projects.
