Project Overview
The 1.4-mile Menomonee Avenue urban corridor, from Town Hall Road to WIS 175 (Appleton Avenue) in the Village of Menomonee Falls, is being reconstructed with a road diet to improve safety. raSmith is providing transportation engineering, stormwater management, structural engineering, and survey services to support this project.
This SE Region Local Program roadway improvement project includes the replacement of existing sidewalk along the north side of the road, the addition of new sidewalk on the south side of the road, and 46 curb ramps along the corridor. The entire storm sewer system was reconstructed, and a new 20-foot by 5-foot box culvert structure replaced an undersized, deteriorating culvert pipe to dramatically improve drainage and reduce flooding risk along the corridor. Additionally, the Village of Menomonee Falls is replacing the water main throughout the corridor and conducting sanitary spot improvements.
