Project Overview
Lincoln Creek flows through the Wisconsin Country Club property in the City of Milwaukee where three dam structures had failed and led to low water levels throughout the golf course. Stream flow had undermined each structure by moving underneath, around, and through each structure. Replacement dams were necessary to not only improve the functionality of the creek but also to improve the aesthetics of the golf course.
raSmith staff designed three new dams that consisted of reinforced concrete box culverts with a weir wall acting as the primary spillway for the dam. To improve the accessibility of the course, the Wisconsin Country Club also wished to remove two bridges that were failing and replace them with prefabricated bridges. Our staff worked with the club to meet their schedule and ensure there was no downtime for golfers. raSmith assisted with the site planning, design of the dams, and permitting for all of the new structures along Lincoln Creek.
