Cancer Treatment Centers of America Parking Structure

Zion, IL

Project Overview

The Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center was in need of additional parking to accommodate a substantial increase in patient population. CTCA turned to the raSmith structural engineering team to address its current parking needs and plan for its future expansion.

The result is a new precast concrete parking ramp adjacent to the medical facility. The ramp occupies five levels and includes 905 parking spaces. The 307,000-square-foot structure is designed for vertical expansion and a future skywalk. This multi-phase construction project also incorporated two underground stormwater detention vaults to address runoff concerns for both current and future build-out on the campus. The project was successfully completed within budget.
