State Highway 50
Kenosha County, Wisconsin

High traffic volumes caused by ongoing commercial and residential growth and development in Kenosha County strained the capacity and safety of the current STH 50/I-94 interchange. Improvements were designed to upgrade the highway to current safety standards, reduce congestion and crashes, redirect STH 50 driveway access to side roads for added safety, improve on/off ramps at the I-94 interchange, replace deteriorated pavement, and correct roadway flooding problems. In addition, the I-94 bridges over STH 50 are proposed to be replaced to provide adequate vertical clearance for STH 50 traffic and will be widened to accommodate a potential future 8-lane interstate.
