Imperial Park - Brookfield, Wisconsin

Imperial Park - Brookfield, WIR.A. Smith National is working with the City of Brookfield Department of Parks and Recreation to develop a master plan and construction documents for the Imperial Neighborhood Park in the center of one of Brookfield’s long established subdivisions, Imperial Estates. This neighborhood park is designed to serve residents within a one-mile radius of the park site.

The overall site is 13 acres, and is currently owned by the Elmbrook School District. Most of the site will be mainly undisturbed and will include some looped walking trails. The remaining five acres of parkland will have a play structure, a playfield, a small parking lot, a paved trail that connects both sides of the park to the neighborhood streets, a sledding hill on a high knoll, picnic areas, and potentially a park shelter for picnics and other passive events.

The design team is working closely with Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, Bill Kolstad, and a volunteer neighborhood committee to develop alternative concepts and a final master plan that will be presented to the neighborhood residents and the Parks & Recreation Commission.
