raSmith’s Transportation and Survey Divisions Gain Experienced Leaders

Two of raSmith’s longtime staff members have received promotions to assist in leading their divisions. Pat Hawley is now the assistant division director of transportation services. Eric Sturm is now the assistant division director of survey services.

Pat Hawley has been employed with raSmith’s transportation division since 2003, where he leads the traffic group and is a senior traffic project manager. Hawley holds more than 25 years of transportation experience. He specializes in traffic planning, access management, site circulation, traffic impact and parking studies, and roundabouts. Hawley’s most recent project was developing and implementing the transportation plan for the US Open at Erin Hills.

Hawley is a professional engineer licensed in Wisconsin and Illinois and a professional traffic operations engineer. Additionally, Hawley is a certified Wisconsin Department of Transportation roundabout designer. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering (transportation focused) from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University.

Eric Sturm

Eric Sturm has been employed with raSmith’s survey division since 1995, where he most recently served as project manager. He holds more than 28 years of experience in a wide range of land development survey projects, including residential, commercial and industrial, and roadways.

Sturm is a professional land surveyor in Wisconsin and Illinois. He holds an associate degree from Northeast Wisconsin Technical Institute.
