Michelle Oswald of National Survey & Engineering Receives Professional Certifications
BROOKFIELD, WIS. – The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), the leading association for administrative support staff, has notified Michelle Oswald of Watertown, Wisconsin that she has earned the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) and Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) ratings. These advanced professional designations require the individual to satisfy education and experience requirements, and pass comprehensive four-part examinations covering finance and business law, office systems and administration, management and organizational planning.
Oswald has been an administrative professional for 10 years and a member of IAAP for five years and is presently a member of their Waukesha chapter. She is currently administrative assistant of National Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith & Associates – a civil engineering, surveying and technical services company in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Oswald has been employed with National Survey & Engineering since July 2005. She is currently pursuing an associate’s degree in management from Waukesha County Technical College.
The Institute for Certification, a department of IAAP, administers the CPS and CAP programs. Approximately 200 examination centers offer the exams worldwide the first Friday and Saturday of May and November. Benefits of certification include increased knowledge; greater respect from employers and peers; the possibility of college credit; and confidence to assume greater responsibilities.
