Kevin Anderson Joins R.A. Smith & Associates as Structural Design Engineer
 BROOKFIELD, WIS. – Kevin Anderson has joined R.A. Smith & Associates, Inc. — civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture, GIS and 3D visualization consultants — Brookfield, Wis., as structural design engineer.
At R.A. Smith & Associates Anderson’s responsibilities will include structural design of highway bridges, retaining walls and sign bridge structures for roadway and transportation projects statewide, as well as other structural design projects.
R.A. Smith & Associates has expanded its structural design capabilities as an essential component of the continuum of services the firm offers. “We have expanded our structural design team and capabilities to address the growing needs of our clients,” said Phil Ciha, construction services transportation manager. “Kevin Anderson is a strong addition to the team. He brings extensive structural design experience and the level of expertise and quality needed for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local government as well as for commercial, industrial, and residential project needs.”
Anderson has six years of experience in structural engineering including all aspects of bridge design. He has designed pre-stressed concrete girder structures and multi-span slab structures.
Anderson was previously employed with T.Y. Lin International as a senior structural engineer and prior to that with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He is registered as a professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin. Anderson has a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Anderson is relocating from Lombard, Illinois.
